Day Care

Generally, you would have seen lots f day care centers for regular kids but no such centre for our special needs kids.

We started with a first day care centre in Mumbai for our special needs kids.

This serves as a respite for families who have working parents, some emergencies, crucial conditions, no one to take care, etc. Parents or the caregivers have that freedom to choose the time slots and the days to send their child for day care and we engage the child meaningfully in various sports based and recreational activities.

Advantages of this centre to parents :
If both parents fall ill and there is no one to take care of the special child; day care respite centre is useful. In case of unforeseen events in the family the child could become hyper; respite care centre can be useful. While organizing to celebrate any big occasion or festival; parents find it difficult to handle the child; respite care centre is available.

These are just a few instances where a day care centre can assist. Here in India one would still be able to hire a house-help to take care of the child; but as we all know with our own experiences of how trustworthy these house-help are in the parents absence and also aware of the little training they could provide; unlike a day care centre where we believe in trying our best in making the child independent by imparting ADL skills.
